Nothing wrong with that for an overnight stay. There are always guards at the street and friendly staff at the desks. Yes, the rooms are small but hey it's okay for a night or two. These hotels are often the least expensive in town but offer safety and comfort.

Northern Samar | Rock Formations of Biri Island

The municipality of Biri in Northern Samar is blessed with numerous stunning rock formations. Biri islands are a marine protected areas and home to fishing communities.

The town of Laverazes, 30 km from Catarman, is the jump off point to the island of Biri. It is also accessible from the port town of Allen. Boats docked at the back of the Lavezares public market leave when full. It’s an hour boat ride to the island. It cost P50 for 10 passengers and P1000 for special trip.

Habal-habal offers guiding tour for P200 good for 3 pax for eight hours.

With its stunning rock formations, mangroves and glorious seawater makes a good daytrip from the mainland.
